Things I've Made

I've always got some new crazy project in the works...

Game Design and Development

My main area of focus is Game Design (even though I have lots of skills in Game Development as well), I enjoy creating fun games with fantastic graphics, fun gameplay, professionally constructed programming, and interesting stories. Video Games are an art form where you can convey emotions and tell stories in a way that directly involves the player, and that's one of the things I love about it. I enjoy creating levels, characters, music, and UI for games. I have experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity, and GameMaker Studio 2, and I'm always ready to learn even more about game development and game design.

Throughout the last 5 years or so, I have made 3 "Big" games, with 2 of them releasing and the other one kept in development. All of the games I have made are playable on this site so I highly recommend you go check them out.

Captured Echoes

Captured Echoes was the first game I ever created, I was a complete beginner when I started with it and knew nothing about programming, game development, game design, etc. Luckily, I had several resources at my disposal including Youtube Tutorials, My 3 awesome teachers (Mrs. Sizemore, Mr. Lovelock, and Mr. Miller), Demo projects people uploaded online, and the GMS2 Manual. Using all of these things, I was able to create the game you see today in around 5 years. It was not a straight forward process, I would say I restarted on the game probably 5 times. Originally it was called Maroon, then Meteoric, and now the final game is called Captured Echoes.

Here's some pictures from Early Development!

Eventually, after working at it enough I created the final version we all know today. I feel this version is fun, entertaining, and captures my original vision from all the way back in 2020. I hope that all of you will enjoy and cherish this game as much as I do, as my first game it means a lot to me and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Untitled TSA Game

While working on Captured Echoes I began work on a TSA Game Design Project. This project was to create a game where you collect things. Unfortunately, I was so ambitious that I forgot 2 key things. I forgot to develop around the theme and I forgot to make the game playable in browser. Instead, I made an ultra realistic Unreal Engine Game where you go around scanning and collecting different creatures around 3 maps, grass, desert, and snow. The "game" was more of a proof of concept then a fun experience. It was really just me seeing how far I could push the boundaries of graphics. This resulted in a game that had stunning visuals but not fun gameplay, meaning this game was a failure by my standards.

Any Color You Like

Any Color You Like is the most recent game that I've made. In my opinion, it is probably the most fun game I have made so far! The entire idea behind this game was I wanted to focus on gameplay and overall fun after the dumpster fire that was the TSA game. I took inspiration from classic arcade games such as Pac-Man, trying to build a game that is quick to pick up but hard to put down. I feel as if I succeeded with flying colors (ironic since the whole game is about color huh?). I won't give to much detail about the game here as I want all of you to play it first, so here it is! Let me know what you think!

Computer Science

As you might have gathered by now, I am an experienced programmer with a huge skillset in coding. My programming expertise includes multiple languages, including C#, C++, HTML, and especially Java. Over the years, I have learned a lot about wide variety of development tools, including JGrasp, IntelliJ IDEA, Unity, Unreal Engine, GMS2, and most importantly Visual Studio. On one hand my background in Unity shows my capability in game design and development, on the other hand my experience with Siemens TIA has given me with knowledge in PLC and HMI programming for industrial machines. My ability to navigate use these tools shows that not only am I versatile but also I'm committed to mastering both software development and it's integration.

Knowledge on Industry Software

Beyond my programming skills, I have plenty of knowledge on various software applications essential for productivity and modern day work-force tasks. I am certified in Microsoft Office, with extensive experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and their Google counterparts (Docs, Slides, and Sheets). This certification is proudly displayed on my wall of acheivements, as it shows my dedication to mastering every tool I use. My technical skills are also complemented by my practical skills, including partial training in operating teach pendants for Fanuc 6-axis robots. These specialized skills show my ability to bridge the gap between programming and hardware, making me a well-rounded professional in both areas.

Professional Software Use

History with Computers

Having worked with computers practically my entire life, I have a passion for tech runs deep since it's practically who I am. As a part of this, I thrive on expanding my knowledge. While my primary focus is in game design, my expertise is very broad and can be best summed up as skill in computer science. I approach all of my challenges with a problem-solving mindset, whether it’s developing software, automating a process, or designing an interactive fun experience. My focus for learning and adapting to new tech makes sure that I remain at the center of the rapidly evolving industry.

Good with Hardware

Music Production

In addition to my other skills, I have a strong skillset in music production and audio editing. I am good with both FL Studio and Audacity, where I can create fully composed instrumentals and songs using minimal resources, such as a few drum samples and soundfonts or plugins. My personal library of sounds is extensive, including a wide range of drums, VSTs, instruments, loops, and samples, which allows me to create unique and high-quality music. From cool beats to atmospheric sounds, my range as a music producer means I can create just about anything.

Like I mentioned earlier, my skills also include a variety of plugins, including Serum, Zenology, Juno-106, and Morphine. These plugins let me explore complex sound design and creation. Beyond software, my education in music theory gives me an advantage when creating melodies, harmonies, and rhythms, as well as maintaining proper tempo and flow in every song I create. Having taken multiple band classes, I understand the fundamentals of rhythm and timing. This allows me to create compositions that feel cohesive and professional. Whether it's producing music for games, videos, or standalone tracks, I bring precision and skill to every project.
